Request or Schedule Leave

If you are an employee, use the Request/Schedule Leave dialog box to schedule days off, or if required, submit a leave request for approval.

Note: If you are required to have a leave request approved, your supervisor receives your request after you complete the procedure below.

To request or schedule leave, complete the following steps:

  1. On the Time menu, click Schedule Employee Work Schedule to display the Employee Work Schedule screen.
  2. In the calendar, select the leave month. To change the month, choose one of the following actions in the calendar header:
    • Click the arrows to page through to the desired month.
    • Click the month name to open the Select a Date dialog box, where you can select the month from a drop-down list. Click any date on the calendar to close the dialog box.
  3. Select the leave dates by clicking them individually. If you select an incorrect date, just click it again.
  4. Click Request/Schedule Leave.
  5. In the Request/Schedule Leave dialog box, review and, if necessary, change the default time period and the number of leave hours.
  6. In Notes, enter explanatory comments, if needed.
  7. Click OK to save your changes. The calendar is updated to reflect the requested or scheduled leave. Leave that requires approval displays under Pending Leave Requests.
